The government of the Republic of Rwanda will be using drones mounted with loud speakers to spread awareness of the deadly coronavirus to masses, we have learned.
The Rwanda National Police, yesterday, asked citizens to be prepared to receive awareness messages brought to them by the remote controlled drones especially in areas with little access to related information.
The Police, however, warned the public against leaving their home to view the drones since they will also be monitoring violations of the lockdown rules as set out by governement.
“We have added drones to our methods of raising awareness about COVID-19. As drones pass your neighbourhoods, we ask you to listen carefully to the message, don’t leave your home to view the drones. Don’t gather in large groups when drones deliver messages. Stay home, protect your life and that of others. Save lives,” the Police warned.
