Canadian based, Ugandan born rapper, Keko of the “How We Do It” fame might have survived a horrifying rape set up according to a fresh episode she has narrated.
Keko, who recently graduated from the Film School in Toronto Canada, has been studying and staying for a while now.
She was apparently set up by an elderly lady of mid 40’s (whom she describes as elderly because she already has difficulty walking) who asked her to accompany her to a party nearby. Something Keko gladly accepted.
“So apparently I never thought people can pay people you know to invite you to an event, spike your drink and have you raped then tell you a wild story like you are a first time drinker.” Keko began her narrative.
The lady, Keko narrates, is from her childhood here in Uganda and she asked her to accompany her to an event where she was supposed to be recognized for her efforts in promoting rights of women.
Keko says that after the event, the elderly lady asked her to spend the night at her place and she could go to hers the next morning. This is something she considered totally harmless, considering she was a woman too.
But that is where she went wrong! “Why not spend the night leave for my place in the morning I mean what could go wrong she is female? Get to the crib, I black cold out.” Keko continued.
The next morning, she says she woke up to a burst upper and lower lip like she had been in a car accident including 3 chipped teeth. Her pants were off and her underwear missing!
“I was mortified to say the least first thing I recognized is bloody sheets where my head was resting. I rushed to the bathroom mirror to look at my face, I was in shock (now you know how much I love my face).” She added.
Keko said when she asked the elderly lady, whom she totally refused to say by name by the way, why she was in that state yet they arrived in one piece, the lady could not find a suitable answer.
“She started stammering and saying ‘oh no you don’t remember you were throwing things.’ The nerve though. She moved away from me in fear in anticipation or in hope of me attacking her but like I mentioned she is an elderly lady of I guess mid 40s plus who was already having trouble walking let alone dressing herself.” Keko continued.
“Now, here’s the cliff hanger. She was expecting a friend the one we where with at the party to drop by so he called and asked how everything is. What she said and I quote Keko yekonye omumwa.”
“The guy on the phone whose volume was turned up for obvious reasons based on her age and condition, I could hear him say ‘eh what happened? I left you guys okay.’ She started stammering again and saying ‘ah no maybe you had left when this happened.’ The disappointment in looking at her was so intense I started crying.”
She later went to a hospital and had a thorough medical examination where fragments of a boulder that was used to hit her in the face were found and the doctor confirmed the possibility of her rape.
“I asked if there was any signs of rape and he (the doctor) said it is a definite possibility telling from the bites.”
We hope Keko goes through this trauma!
