Police in Kampala have arrested Ashraf Kiiza, the assailant involved in the disturbing incident captured in a viral social media video in Natete, Rubaga Kampala.
Kiiza was apprehended by Flying squad unit Police officers in areas of Kyotera on May 15. He is currently detained at Nateete Police Station.
On May 13, Ashraf attempted to rob Sam Turyamuhaki at Bashir Grain Millers in Natete Kutano.
Kiiza, wielding a panga and hammer, violently demanded money from Mr. Turyamuhaki, whom he assaulted.
Police revealed Turyamuhaki is currently undergoing treatment for his injuries, adding further investigations are ongoing, and he will be prosecuted accordingly in the courts of law.
