The Chairperson of the Patriotic League of Uganda Disciplinary Committee, Michael Mawanda, has summoned Frank Gashumba, to a disciplinary hearing at the PLU Secretariat following a controversial post.
Through his X formerly Twitter, Gashumba also the PLU Vice Chairman for Buganda accused heads of security agencies for allegedly failing to protect Ugandans from rising criminal activities.
Gashumba accompanied the post with the photos of the PLU chairman General Muhoozi Kainerugaba who is also the CDF and that of the IGP, Mr Abbas Byakagaba, calling for their resignation.
According to sources from Naguru, the post didn’t sit well with the top echelons, who termed it as disrespectful to the chairman.
In a letter to Gashumba, Mawanda requested him to confirm his attendance at the hearing scheduled for May 29, 2024.
“You are required to attend a disciplinary hearing at 1500 hrs….Your words have damaged the reputation of our nascent organization and it’s leadership,” part of the letter to Gashumba read.
