Christopher Aine, the notorious former Bodyguard of 2016 Presidential Candidate John Patrick Amama Mbabazi has been appointed by President Museveni to the position of Deputy RDC for Mbarara.

Mr. Aine, who shot to the limelight in 2015 after a scuffle with security forces and NRM supporters in Ntungamo that he allegedly beat up, will be deputizing Lt. Col. James Mwesigye, the current Mbarara RDC.

He suddenly went missing in December 2015 with initial allegations claiming he had been murdered, only to return two months after the 2016 general election at a press conference with Gen. Salim Saleh, Museveni’s younger brother.

Aine returns at a time when his former boss, Mbabazi has got back to talking terms with President Museveni and supported him in the recent election.
