Musician Bebe Cool is a known National Resistance Movement (NRM) supporter and a close confidant of President Museveni. After the jump of his fellow artiste and nemesis Robert Kyagulanyi Sentamu aka Bobi Wine into elective politics, he has been very vocal every where trying to discredit his intentions while campaigning for President Museveni.
Yesterday, Bebe Cool was hosted at a local talk show on NBS TV where analysts have largely trash talked his debate, saying the NRM should not let him be their mouth piece on such shows.
One of them is self professed Digital Spokesperson of Bobi Wine’s People Power, Mr Saasi Marvin. Saasi, without mincing any of his words, said Bebe Cool prides in showing the whole world how foolish he is whenever he attends such talk shows.
While addressing the thousands of his Facebook followers, Saasi said there was no excuse whatsoever for Bebe Cool to be that ignorant and plain about what he termed as “basic concepts” in politics.
“There is no excuse whatsoever for Bebe Cool demonstrating such foolishness, blatant ignorance of simple concepts, and failure to comprehend basic issues.” Saasi said.
He added that the artiste cannot excuse his foolishness by reminding people how he didn’t go to school, how he’s never been an MP or Resident City Commissioner (RCC).
“There is simply no excuse for inborn stupidity coupled with the obstinate refusal to learn from those who can rescue one from it. It’s a mockery of all ordinary Ugandans who, because of circumstances, fail to go far in school or achieve much on their own. I know so many poor people and ‘non-achievers’ who can prevail in a debate with Professors.” He added.
Mr Saasi’s comments are in relation to Bebe Cool’s display last night at Barometer Extra, a local political talk show at NBS TV. Bebe was hosted alongside People Power spokesman Joel Ssenyonyi, former RCC Aisha Kabanda, former MP James Kakooza and Charles Rwomushana.
