News reaching our desk indicate that President Museveni’s brother Sodo Aine Kaguta has withdrawn from the highly charged Mawogola North MP race giving it up to Sam Kutesa’s daughter Shartsi Kutesa.
We have also learned that Sodo was called up by President Museveni, Sam Kutesa and other top NRM officials in private meeting to convince him to withdraw from the race but our highly connected sourced revealed that Sodo vehemently tried to reject their submissions saying the move to contest as an MP is not for him but for the people of Ssembabule district.
