The Prime Minister of Uganda Rt Hon Nabbanja Robinah has made a follow-up check on the progress of road construction within Kampala and the surrounding areas to ascertain why contractors are moving at a slow pace.
The Prime Minister and her team inspected road works on Sir Apollo Kaggwa Road, Suna 1 & 2 and later held a review meeting with contractors and KCCA officials.
The inspection is a follow up on an earlier one conducted on May 30, 2024.
She urged key utility providers to enhance coordination and speed up the shifting of service lines to prevent further delays.
Expressing frustration with the current pace of progress, Nabbanja demanded immediate action from contractors and consultants.
Stressing the importance of timely and high-quality execution, Nabbanja warned against any form of sabotage to government efforts.
