The top decision making organ of the ruling National Resistance Movement (NRM) party – the Central Executive Committee (CEC) has failed to agree on a choice for Speaker of Parliament.
The committee has been in a closed door meeting since 4PM today to reach consensus on who should be the party choice for Speaker between Kamuli Woman MP Rebecca Kadaga and her hitherto deputy Jacob Oulanyah.
The NRM Secretary General, Justine Kasule Lumumba has told this website that the meeting to decide who takes the flag shall resume tomorrow at 9am.
The 11th Parliament shall converge on Monday during their first sitting to decide who takes the position of Speaker and Deputy Speaker.
