Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) spokesperson, Ibrahim Kibuuka Bbossa, has resigned. Bbossa, who previously worked as a senior communications official at Uganda Communications Commission, tendered his resignation on August 30, 2024.
Hr was appointed URA Spokesperson in late 2021 as the Assistant Commissioner of Public and Corporate Affairs in the Commissioner General’s office.
Bbossa was a strong advocate for socially responsible business practices, approaching his job with complete transparency and accountability to all URA stakeholders.
During his time at URA, Bbossa will be remembered for his involvement in various initiatives, including the Mpa E Receipt Yange campaign.
At the time of his resignation, Bbossa had developed the tax education function. He transformed what was initially a unit within the Public and Corporate Affairs Division into a fully-fledged division with a significantly larger resource allocation.
