Democratic Party (DP)’s celebrated musician member Joseph Mayanja aka Jose Chameleon picked People Power nomination forms to contest for the Kampala Capital City Lord Mayor seat in the forthcoming 2021 general elections.
The “Baliwa” singer picked People Power nomination forms from their head offices in Kamwokya yesterday to contest against the incumbent Elias Lukwago.
Chameleone said that he was inspired by the People Power ideals when he was asked by journalists why he opted for their ticket instead of his party’s.
Chameleone joined DP last year.
