The Ministry of Health Permanent Secretary Dr. Diana Atwine has revealed that compulsory masks could be Uganda’s main focus in the fight against coronavirus after the lock down is lifted.
With the virus spreading through droplets, the ministry says that the chances of infections are still very high.
“When the lock down is lifted, many people are going to pour on the streets and there won’t be any kinds of social distances and so the best way is to make sure we have masks”, Dr. Atwine said
She later added that people don’t have to put on expensive N95 masks or the surgical masks. A simple piece of cloth molded to work as the mask could work.
