National Resistance Movement (NRM) Cadre and businessman Bruno Francis Bazibu who had reportedly been kidnapped by Special Forces Command (SFC) soldiers was yesterday formally charged before the General Court Martial with offences of unlawfull possession of an ammunition .
Bazibu whose family reported as missing last month has been now transferred from a military detention at Makindye barracks to Kitalya government prison .
This is after a seven member court chaired by Lt. Gen Andrew Gutti heard that on the 11th November, 2020 during a search carried out on Bazibu’s home at Bugembe – Gembe in Wakiso District, a one live ammuntion of an AK47 calibre was found there yet bullets are a monopoly of only armed forces .
Bazibu has however denied the offence and an army prosecutor reported that inquiries on how the accused acquired the bullet are still on-going.
The court has therefore remanded Bazibu to prison until the 21st December when he will re-appear for mention.
Bazibu was arrested by security agents on the 31st/October 2020 at Okello House in Kampala where he had reportedly gone to have a meeting with President Museveni.
