Kyadondo East Member of Parliament (MP) and leader of the People Power Movement, Hon Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu alias Bobi Wine has appointed Dr. Lina Zedriga Waru as his deputy, we can exclusively confirm.

Dr. Zedriga Waru, according to inside sources is an accomplished activist who has oftenly been described as “mother and war-widow”.
She was unveiled at the People Power offices in Kamwokya where the political outfit also flagged off relief aid to the coronavirus national task force.

People Power sources further described Dr Zedriga Waru as “an activist, mediator, former judicial officer, expert at security, trainer of trainers, writer and mentor”

Dr. Zedriga is mostly known for her role in pressuring government to take ownership of the issue of sexual violence and to implement the full range of commitments under the Peace, Security and Cooperation Framework. She’s a former member of The Association for Women Lawyers-FIDA and Women’s Civil Society Leader.

She worked with soldiers and many other organizations in Uganda to make sure kids are kept off the streets and do not succumb to the violence that constantly surrounds them and in the aftermath of the LRA war, Zedriga worked every day to see that children soldiers reintegrate themselves into society.
