International Sex Worker and Kampala City Socialite Shanitah Namuyimbwa alias Bad Black has been asked to tonne down on her abuses and threats to sue government after meeting President Museveni’s confidant Balaam Barugahara.
Ms Bad Black shook tables recently when, through her lawyers of Musangala Advocates and Solicitors, demanded payment of upto a tune of Shs 500M for taking part in a Ministry of Health advert calling upon sex workers at boarder points to desist from engaging with truck drivers in light of COVID-19.
She threatened to release lists of all top government employees that have been notoriously procuring the services of herself and her colleague sex workers one by one until the government pays her money. A threat she made sense of when she immediately exposed former Vice President Prof Gilbert Bukenya.
In retaliation, the Ethics and Integrity Minister Fr Simon Lokodo slapped her with a fresh threat of arrest and court summons if she continues holding government on ransom like that.
Earlier today, Bad Black met Presidential Advisors Balaam Barugahara and Full Figure who promised her a meeting with her colleagues with President Museveni as soon as the Coronavirus pandemic reduces.
“We have held a meeting with Bad Black and her lawyers and asked her to take back the anger and tonne down, which she has agreed to do. She has agreed that for the benefit of the nation, she will reduce her anger until we find a permanent solution to her challenges.” Barugahara said.
Barugahara further said that Bad Black admitted that she has a well written proposal to the President that brings to light the problems that sex workers in Uganda face for the president to intervene.
Commenting on the matter, Senior Presidential Press Secretary Don Wanyama acknowledged the contribution of Barugahara to settle the matter down jokingly saying, the threat of exposing her gov’t clients had some officials peeing their pants.
“Balaam Barugahara has saved the situation. The threat of her exposing “government clients” had sent people ducking.” Wanyama posted.
