Police have arrested Lujja Bbosa Tabula, Alex suspect in the murder of former Ndiga clan head Engineer Daniel Bbosa. Tabula was apprehended on 19 August 2024, in Kimelika-Namulonge, Busikuma, by the crime intelligence squad. Tabula was also wanted in connection with the discovery of human skulls at his residence in Mpigi. Bbosa was killed in February, 2024 in Kikandwa Lungujja, Rubaga Division, as he approached his home. Former Attorney General Kiddu Makubuya has died. Makubuya, a professor of law and a former Dean of the School of Law at Makerere University, died after a lengthy illness. He was 75. In June, local media widely reported Prof Makubuya dead before the family clarified that he was battling ill-health but still alive. The Uganda Coffee Development Authority, July 2024 report, has revealed that a total of 821,593 bags valued at US$ 210.48m were exported, the highest figure ever exported in a single month. This was an increase of 26% & 97% in quantity & value respectively, compared to the same month last year.
