If you are an avid follower of the news and events in Uganda, you must have come by a one Thomas Belesis aka Tommy an American investor that was involved in a Shs30bn Gold Scam with some Ugandan nationals.
Tommy, the complainant in the said scam, according to information this website has received, doesn’t appear as clean as the laws of equity dictate. Sources say his hands are very dirty.
According to The Sprint Magazine and edge.ug among other sources, Mr. Belesis is an “international fraudster with multiple identities and nationalities”, which they say is causing questionable integrity.
“Tommy is not a simple man as he claims before several authorities, he is an international fraudster. If you want to know more, just browse his name on Google.” The Spring Magazine quoted an anonymous source in the development.
The sources fault Mr. Belesisfor claiming to have had transactions in Uganda dating as far back as 2019 yet the documents of his company (AGE East Africa Holdings Ltd) only date two months ago.
“A lot of information concerning their questionable operations within the region over the past two years has been deliberately withheld to shield [flow of information and truth]. Pictures obtained by our sources indicate he is attached to the trump administration and also claims strong ties with FBI.” Edge Ug reports.
Accordingly, following evidence presented in Court, it is alleged that money that was channeled through Uganda was paid out to different parties outside the country with instruction and guidance of the complainant’s (Mr. Belesis) lawyers.
The Media Sites further allege that in fact, the entire lawsuit is aimed at scamming an Insurance Company to compensate Mr. Belesis – a lucrative trick they say he also used in Kenya to pocket millions of money from local investors.
We were unable to reach Mr. Belesis for a comment on the said allegations.
