Bomb Experts Dispatched to Lungala After Explosion in Swift Safaris Bus

The Ugandan Wire has learned a team of bomb experts has been dispatched to Lungala, along the Kampala-Masaka highway, after a deadly explosion occurred on a bus belonging to Swift Safaris Bus company.

The affected bus was traveling from Kampala to Ishaka-Bushenyi at around 5pm and was going by the registration number UAU 989T.

At the moment, at least two people have been confirmed dead and several other victims including injured persons are being evacuated from the scene.

The explosion comes three days after the bomb attack at Digida Pork Joint in Komamboga, a Kampala Suburb.

The scene has been cordoned off pending a thorough assessment and investigation by the bomb squad.
