The Deputy Speaker of Parliament Rt. Hon. Anita Annet Among has pledged to oversee a motion in the August House that will name one of the streets in the Capital City Kampala after the late Bulaimu Muwanga Kibirige (BMK).

BMK, a renown businessman and owner of Hotel Africana passed on last week in Nairobi following a four year battle with cancer and was buried yesterday in Nkoowe Village, in Busiro County, Wakiso district.

Among told mourners that Parliament will honour BMK by passing a motion that will name a street after the business mogul mostly known as the proprietor of Hotel Africana.

“Hajji Bulaimu Kibirige (BMK) may be gone but we continue to celebrate his good deeds, big giving heart and his contribution to the development of the Country. In his honour I will mobilize MPs to name a street in his honour.” Among said.

Among honoured the late BMK as a great businessman and person who will be remembered for his contribution towards the development of the country.

Other dignitaries who were present at the burial included Gen Katumba Wamala, the Minister for Works and Transport who represented President Museveni and Katikkiro, Charles Peter Mayiga who represented Buganda Kingdom.

Others included NRM first national vice chairperson Al Haji Moses Kigongo, several members of parliament and Hotel Owners.
