Court of Appeal Rules Against Tycoon Ham, Says shs.120 Billion Was Acquired Wrongly from DTB

Court of Appeal has today ruled that money bag Hamis Kiguddu obtained a whopping ugx 120B from the court case against Diamond Trust Bank upon ruling of the Commercial Court.

Kiggundu had taken DTB to court alleging that it had made illegal withdrawals from his account amounting to billions of shillings which he alleges was a bank loan.

In October 2020, the commercial court ruled in Kiggundu’s favour leading to frenzied celebrations. DTB appealed against the ruling hence the judgement today.

In today’s ruling by the Court of Appeal, the justices referred the case back to commercial court for a fresh hearing. The justices said the case had been amended several times during hearing at the commercial, something that was not considered by the High Court.
