We Shall Beat You Until Heaven Descends On Earth – Unapologetic IGP Ochola Assures Journalists

Inspector General of police, Martin Ochola while on press interview assured journalists that the police will beat them until they learn to desist from dangers zones while in any sorts of violence.

He (Ochola) added that the police shall use reasonable force to prevent journalists from accessing highly probable risk areas during the severely heated 2021 elections.

IGP Ochola’s response was prompted by a question from one of the journalists who wondered whether police and other security agencies have any plans of apologizing to journalists who have, in the last few weeks, been victimized by their violent actions

“When we tell a journalist, don’t go there and you insist on going where there is danger, we shall beat you for your own safety. I have no apology. We shall not apologise but we shall continue helping you not to go where there is danger,” IGP Ochola told journalists during a security briefing in Naguru, Kampala ahead of next week’s elections.
