CASH BONANZA: Minister Kahinda Otafire Distributes Shs 5,000 to Voters Ahead of Jan 14th Poll

Minister for East African Affairs and former Justice Minister Maj. Gen. (Rtd) Kahinda Otafire is distributing sacks of money in his Ruhinda County constituency ahead of the January 14th, 2021 presidential and parliamentary elections.

Our Sources in the Mitooma based constituency intimated to us that the Minister who was booted out of Parliament in 2016 by Capt. Kahonda is seeking to bounce back to Parliament as a legislator using huge sums of money.

“There’s a vehicle with a public address system that was going about the constituency yesterday asking whoever wants money to go to Bubangizi Secondary School Playground.” Our Source said.

On reaching the playgrounds advertised, our source said the Minister’s agents were giving out Shs 5,000 in cash and asking the receivers to vote for and protect the vote of Gen. Otafire.

Our efforts to reach out to campaign mobilizers of the Minister about the said drive were futile as none of them were “free” to talk about the cash bonanza.
