Journalists have today vehemently expressed their concerns towards the brutal man-handling of some journalists by police and military officers as they cover political campaigns.

While on a Security briefing geared towards ‘Talehe Sita’, journalists tasked brigadier general Henry Mastiko to explain why journalists are being treated like enemies of the state every time they try to cover opposition candidates during the campaigns.

Thereafter, they decided to walk out of the security press citing continuous harassment from security operatives. This follows the current riots in Masaka district that left most journalists nursing serious injuries.
