The NRM Cadre and businessman Bruno Francis Bazibu who had gone missing in the hands of Security Agencies since 31st October following his arrest by SFC Officers from Okello House in Nakasero has been found.

According to the Attorney General’s representative Ebila Hillary Nathan, Bazibu is currently on remand at the Makindye Military Barracks after having been charged before the Unit Disciplinary Court (UDC) at Mbuya on 26th November, 2020 with Unlawful Possession of Ammunition that include Paper Spray, a Teargas Canister and one AK 47 live bullet at his tenants home in Bugembe – Gembe Kasengejje in Wakiso District.

According to our sources, Bazibu denied the allegations before the UDC Chairman Tom Kabuye and returns before the Makindye General Court Martial on 8th December where the case file was forwarded.

Ebila also informed Court that Bazibu’s Family and Lawyer can now access him as a Constitutional right and its against this background that presiding High Court Judge Emmanuel Baguma who on 25th November had ordered Government to produce him today dead or alive has now closed this file in agreement with all the parties in the case.

However Bazibu’s Family and Lawyer Umar Lukwago mantain that they are going to challenge the Mbuya Unit Disciplinary Court proceedings in the High Court Civil Division of Kampala saying their client is a civilian who cannot be charged before the  Army Court.
