The Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) vehicle carrying their public address system has been involved in a nasty accident.

Two people are reportedly dead and 15 injured with the causalities being rushed to the nearest health facility.

The truck they were travelling in overturned and plunged into a valley at Panyamur Hill in Pakwach District, Northern Uganda. Patrick Amuriat Oboi and his team were heading to Parombo to hold a rally.

The FDC flag bearer was today campaigning in Erussi, Parombo and Nebbi Town where he was scheduled to hold his rallies to address voters.

However, the FDC flag bearer is safe and in good condition.

Speaking to the media, Amuriat expressed his sadness about the unfortunate incident and went ahead to suspend his campaign to grieve with the families of those whose lives were lost.

“It is something that has hit us quiet hard. For that matter, we take the decision to suspend this campaign and deal with the causalities and also deal with the families of those who have lost their lives,” Amuriat said.
