Artistes Bebe Cool and Catherine Kusasira were yesterday traversing the newly created Lira City while campaigning for President Yoweri Museveni and the National Resistance Movement (NRM) for the 2021 Presidential and General Elections.

Accompanied by other artistes such as Coco Finger, Big Eye, Jjingo Show, Music Promoter Bajjo and Facebook motor mouth Isma “All Access”, the group paralyzed the city while interacting with enthusiastic NRM supporters in the area.

President Museveni is in the Lango region where he is meeting with Party elders and youths that will run their door-to-door campaign strategy in the region.

In his message to the Party Leaders, Museveni emphasized peace and security, poverty alleviation, higher education, vocational training, Universal Secondary Education (USE), COVID-19 response, electricity and land ownership.

The President also promised to compensate cattle owners whose livestock were lost during rebel leader Joseph Kony’s Lord’s Resistance Army (LRA) insurgency.

Museveni and NRM are now headed to Apac District still in Lango and are expected to go to Arua District in West Nile tomorrow.
