Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) has appointed Joyce Nabbossa Ssebugwawo to be the acting president for the party.

This has happened following the stepping down of the current party president Patrick Amuriat Oboi to compete for the presidential seat in the forth coming elections on FDC ticket.

Ms Ssebugwawo currently serves as the Rubaga Division Mayor and is going to hold the seat for presidency till the end of FDC primaries when delegates have selected the contender to run for presidency in 2021 elections.

On the same ceremony at the FDC headquarters in Najjanankumbi today afternoon, the two contenders Amuriat and Birigwa returned the nomination forms for FDC presidential flag bearer and pledged to stand against President Museveni with the mission of liberating the country.

“I will improve the state of technology if elected the President of Uganda”, said Birigwa adding that he’ll improve the innovation of the country to enable children quit walking long distances to schools.

His opponent, Amuriat promised to bridge the gap between the young people and elderly so as to increase youth participation in national issues.
