Former Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) Commissioner in charge of Customs, Dicksons Kateshumbwa is getting reinforcement as regards his attempt to unseat Science and Technology Minister Dr. Elioda Tumwesigye for the Sheema Municipality MP seat in 2021.

The latest to add themselves on the now famous “Friends of Katesh” bandwagon that has had residents of Sheema Municipality swimming in money everyday is events promoter and President Museveni’s blue-eyed boy, Balaam Barugahara.

In a video making rounds on social media, Mr Barugahara vows that a group of businessmen in Kampala are going to pitch camp in Sheema Municipality and engage themselves in very rigorous campaigns to ensure that their friend Katesh wins that seat.

Kateshumbwa, resigned from URA along with several other fellow Commissioners just a month after their boss Doris Akol had been sacked by President Museveni and replaced with John Musinguzi Rujoki.

He soon after expressed ambition to contest in Sheema claiming that his resignation had nothing to do with embezzlement and misappropriation of funds like the media and other political players had suggested before.

Just last month, a local voter, after receiving maize, rice and sugar donated by Friends of Katesh unceremoniously offered his wife to Kateshumbwa while praising him for remembering them in hunger.
