The president of Uganda, HE Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has commissioned a Wargame Centre at the Senior Command and Staff College in Kimaka, Jinja District.

The centre, according to Mr Museveni will contribute to a higher quality of training for the Ugandan army and is meant to benefit especially the Uganda People’s Defence Forces (UPDF) and the Special Forces Command (SFC).



The president appreciated the endeavors by the training teams and the Indian Association of Uganda for mobilising funds to build the centre and in nostalgia, praised Mahtma Gandhi’s influence in decolonisation of Africa and Asia which he says has enabled self facilitation in terms of defence to former colonies.

Museveni also had a brief session of lecture to students at the Senior Command and Staff College.

“I delivered a lecture of opportunity to the students at the Uganda Senior Command and Staff College, Kimaka. The lecture focused on three key issues; Ideology, strategy, and tactics.” Museveni said.
