‘Remove the Boot Off My Neck and I Talk’ – Bobi Wine Responds to First Son Kainerugaba’s Dialogue Suggestion

Kyandondo East legislator and People Power Movement Principal Hon. Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu alias Bobi Wine has slapped First Son Lt Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba with a heavy response after the latter suggested a meeting between them over the politics in the country.

Kainerugaba, on March 5th, tweeted a message to the former ghetto gladiator seeking a meeting to quell the tensions between him and his father, Gen (Rtd) Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, the president of Uganda.

“A lot of my supporters are telling me to sit down and talk to my brother Bobi Wine. I have no problem talking to him, we talked in the past and were friends. I just advise all the youth never to seek war over peace.” Kainerugaba tweeted yesterday.

Supporters of the first son have for the past days been running a hashtag in his support for a political move that they termed #MuhooziProject. The hashtag that Kainerugaba started himself, was aimed at ridiculing people that have been hinting about it saying they are misguided but he will take advantage of their rhetoric.

A seemingly bitter Bobi Wine would have none of his sweet talk however, suggesting that Kainerugaba’s father has widowed and orphaned so many People Power supporters while on a mission of shutting his message for a generational cause.

“I’m open to transparent talks with anyone but before that, you & your father should stop actions that’ve left many orphans, widows & torture victims. Respect human rights & rule of law. Only free men can negotiate. Remove the boot off my neck & I’ll have a voice to speak with you.” Bobi Wine responded, about an hour ago.
